Join the club. Adult Book Club meetings are open to the public and FREE. As a member you will have a turn to select our book-of-the-month selection. We’ll read any genre but we will not revisit a title that has previously been selected. Our club has approximately 20 members so you could wait as long as 18 months to make your choice. All we require is that potential members enjoy the shared-reading experience.

May's selection:
Gem of the Ocean, Radio Golf, and Jitney

Of the ten plays by August Wilson, May's Facilitator and Book Club member, Greg, chose Gem of the Ocean and Radio Golf because it is the first in Wilson’s century long exploration into the lives of Black Americans. Radio Golf and the two plays published years apart have a major character in common which is of interest to Greg. Jitney was chosen simply because it is Greg's favorite play, one he and many theatre goers didn’t want to see come to an end.
