Christie’s latest work, Bad News for Outlaws tells the story of Bass Reeves the most successful U.S. Marshal in history. Bad News for Outlaws is the 2010 winner of the Coretta Scott King Award, which annually recognizes outstanding books for young adults and children by African American authors and illustrators that reflect the African American experience.
